A New Year...

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you had a great Fall and as we are in the middle of Winter, not too much is going on as photography goes.

This past week the Memphis Camera Club hosted their annual Year End Awards Ceremony.

Every year club members submit their best photographs that were previously submitted into the Monthly Competitions. A panel of 3 Professional Photographers with no associations to the club judge the photographs in all the various categories.

Members are only allowed five submissions and that includes print as well as digital.

I was please that I won awards for four of my five submissions.

1- Honorable Mention - Digital Nature

2- 3rd. Place - Digital Animal

3- 3rd. Place - Print Creative

4- 1st. Place - Digital Creative

Fijian Kaleidoscope Kat - 1st. Place Winner

Three of these photographs will be on display as part of the KROC Centers Photographic Exhibition in February.

Speaking of Exhibitions, 4 of 5 submissions were accepted into the WKNO Exhibition for 2019.

The exhibition is open to the public and will run through the end of February.

WKNO will be hosting an Open House for Memphis Camera Club members and their families and friends this year on January 20th.

I will try and keep posting as time allows, in the mean time, keep your camera handy and take pictures....
